This is the official tourism promotion website of Caraz, operated by the Municipalidad Provincial de Huaylas (Provincial Municipality of Huaylas; hereinafter, “the Municipality” or “the Owner”), a public entity domiciled at Jr. San Martín N° 1121 – Plaza de Armas, Caraz, provincia de Huaylas, Áncash, Perú.

Accessing and browsing this site grants you the status of user and implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, of the Privacy Policy and of the Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The portal is informational and intended to promote tourism and culture in the city of Caraz and the province of Huaylas. Use is free of charge. No goods or services are sold and no online payments are made through the site.
The information published (attractions, routes, altitudes, schedules, festivals, partner details and similar) is provided for reference only and may change without notice. We recommend confirming schedules, access conditions and routes with the relevant authorities, operators or establishments before traveling.
The mountain, trekking and adventure activities described carry inherent risks. The Municipality neither organizes nor supervises such activities; users undertake them at their own risk and must have adequate preparation, an authorized guide, equipment and insurance.
The site’s content (text, photographs, illustrations, logos, distinctive signs, design, code and other elements) is protected by Peruvian copyright law (Legislative Decree No. 822) and industrial property law (Legislative Decree No. 1075) and belongs to the Municipality or to third parties who have authorized its use.
Viewing and downloading or printing for personal, non-commercial use is permitted, citing the source. Reproduction, distribution, public communication or transformation, in whole or in part, for commercial purposes is prohibited without the Owner’s prior written authorization.
The site may include links to external pages (social networks, maps, tourism partners or others) not managed by the Municipality. The Owner is not responsible for the content, policies or availability of those sites. A partner’s presence in the directory does not constitute a recommendation, endorsement or guarantee; any relationship or transaction is solely between the user and the third party.
Users agree to use the site in accordance with the law, good faith and these Terms, and not to carry out activities that damage, overload or disable the portal or that infringe the rights of third parties.
The Municipality strives to keep the site operational and up to date but does not guarantee the absence of interruptions, errors or omissions. To the extent permitted by law, the Owner shall not be liable for damages arising from the use or inability to use the site, nor for information of a reference nature.
The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, drafted in accordance with Law No. 29733, the Personal Data Protection Act, and its regulations.
Inquiries, suggestions or complaints about the portal may be directed to the contact channels indicated. As a public entity, the Municipality makes its Complaints Book (Libro de Reclamaciones) available to citizens in accordance with applicable regulations; complaints about citizen service may be filed under that procedure.
The Municipality may modify these Terms and the site’s content at any time. Changes take effect upon publication; the date of the latest update is shown at the top of this document.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of the province of Huaylas, department of Áncash, without prejudice to the jurisdiction that may correspond due to the nature of the entity or the user’s status as a consumer under the law.
